Fluid Technologies

A custom WordPress build for a 30-year mechanical contracting firm that had outgrown the Wix site they built themselves — rebuilt for credibility, ownership, and room to grow.

The Problem

01

A self-built Wix site that didn't reflect 30 years of experience.

Fluid Technologies had built their own site on Wix — a reasonable starting point, but the platform's template constraints left them with sparse content and limited flexibility. For a B2B contractor where the website is often the first thing a facility manager or project engineer looks at before picking up the phone, the gap between the work they do and the site representing them was real.

02

An ongoing subscription for a ceiling they had already hit.

Wix kept them locked into a template structure that couldn't grow with them. Adding service depth, adjusting layout, or building out content all ran into the same wall. They were paying monthly for a builder that was actively limiting what their site could do — and they had outgrown it.

02

What Was Built

Platform

Migrated off Wix to a WordPress stack they own outright.

We moved the site from Wix to a hosted WordPress build using Elementor — no more subscription to a builder they'd hit the ceiling on. WordPress gives them a platform with no artificial limits, and Elementor gives their team a visual editor they can use without a developer. The content is theirs to manage and grow.

Architecture

Four pages built around their actual service lines.

Home, about, services, and contact — structured to surface the full breadth of what Fluid Technologies does: process piping, plumbing, fabrication, refrigeration, welding, HVAC, food process systems, and livestock wastewater treatment. Every discipline gets a real presence on the services page instead of being omitted or buried.

Design

Mobile-first and built to project credibility.

Contractors and facility managers frequently look up vendors from a job site, so the site was optimized for mobile throughout — not as an afterthought, but as the primary context. The design was built to project the kind of credibility that makes a commercial client confident they're calling the right company.

Outcome

Fluid Technologies now has a professional, owned web presence that matches the weight of the work they actually do. They moved off Wix to a hosted WordPress stack they control outright — no subscription fees to a builder they'd outgrown, and no ceiling on what the site can become. Their full range of services is surfaced and searchable, and they have room to grow their content on a platform they own long-term.
