The Gathering Place Venue
A full WordPress/Elementor site built from scratch for a new Indiana event venue — designed around client photography to give couples and event planners the confidence to make an inquiry.
The Problem
A new venue with no web presence — and nothing for prospective clients to find.
The Gathering Place was a brand-new event venue with no site, no listings, and no online presence of any kind. Weddings, graduations, parties, private events — the venue had the space and the atmosphere, but without a website, there was nothing for prospective clients to find, browse, or trust.
For a venue, the website has one job: show the space.
A venue website lives or dies on photography. Couples planning a wedding, families booking a graduation party — they need to see the space before they'll pick up the phone. The site needed to be built around the imagery, not the other way around.
What Was Built
Site
A full WordPress/Elementor build — landing page, about, services, gallery, and contact.
We built the site from scratch on WordPress using Elementor in 2021, covering every section the venue needed from day one: landing page, about, services, gallery, and contact. The architecture was straightforward — a clean, responsive site structured to move a visitor from first impression to inquiry.
Gallery
Built around the photography — because that's what books events.
The gallery was central to the design from the start. With strong photography provided by the client, the build was designed to let the images lead across the full range of events the venue hosts — weddings, graduations, parties, private events. Clean layout, responsive grid, nothing getting in the way of the photos.
Outcome
The Gathering Place launched with a polished web presence that reflected the quality of the venue itself from day one — giving prospective clients something to find, browse, and trust before they ever made an inquiry.
