Tyrol Pickleball
A Shopify Plus migration consolidating two international stores into one — eliminating $13,900+ in annual redundant software costs and launching a full native B2B wholesale portal.
The Problem
Two separate Shopify stores — duplicated costs, duplicated overhead.
Tyrol Pickleball had built a thriving ecommerce operation, but the infrastructure underneath it had grown into a liability. They were running two separate Shopify stores — one for the US, one for Canada — each with its own app stack, theme, and maintenance overhead. Duplicate store costs, redundant paid apps across both stores, and the friction of managing two of everything.
Legacy infrastructure carrying costs it couldn't justify.
Microsoft Dynamics was managing orders, inventory, and financials through expensive per-seat licensing and manual workflows. Wholesale and B2B operations ran through a third-party app that couldn't scale with the brand. Between Dynamics licenses, EDI fees, and redundant paid apps, the business was carrying over $13,900 in annual software costs that weren't pulling their weight.
What Was Built
Consolidation
Two stores became one using Shopify Markets.
The US and Canadian stores were consolidated into a single unified store using Shopify Markets — handling currency, taxes, duties, and pricing by region. The second store and its entire duplicate app stack were eliminated.
Theme
Trade — Shopify's native B2B-optimized 2.0 theme — replaced the page builder.
The existing theme was replaced with Trade, which removed the need for their GemPages page builder app entirely and resolved longstanding mobile performance issues. A native theme with no bolt-on dependency.
Fulfillment
Canadian warehouse on ShipStation — multi-warehouse inventory, automated.
The Canadian warehouse was brought onto ShipStation to match the US operation, enabling Shopify to manage multi-warehouse inventory automatically. Manual order entry between the two warehouses was eliminated.
App Audit
Five paid apps removed and replaced by native Shopify Plus features.
The full app stack across both stores was audited. Wholesale Gorilla, GemPages, Cozy Country Redirect, Easy Lockdown, and Metafields2 were all identified as redundant — replaced by functionality already included in Shopify Plus. Five fewer subscriptions, zero loss in capability.
B2B Portal
A full Shopify Plus B2B wholesale portal, built and live.
The Shopify Plus native B2B portal was built out and implemented with their customer support team — enabling bulk ordering, customer-specific pricing, tiered discounts, and net payment terms for wholesale accounts. No third-party app, no workaround.
